MONCLER GAMME BLEU

The first thing I will say about Gamme Bleu is that I do not have much of any experience with that collection. I have never owned one or studied one in person. The most I have is a collection of photos taken from various pieces over the years.

Although Gamme Bleu is not nearly as common as Moncler's signature down jackets, there are still some fakes produced from this collection, just not nearly as many.

In looking over some of the details of the logo/badge and brand label, you will find that the embroidery and design is quite imperfect in comparison to what we are used to seeing in the regular Moncler collection. Some of it almost looks to be hand drawn. Lettering and alignment is not nearly as precise as you would expect from an expensive designer but it's just the way the labels are designed for this particular collection.

LOGO/BADGE:
Much like Moncler's signature down jackets, this logo can vary slightly in design from one year to the next and there does not seem to be a lot of consistency. This example is from a 2017 jacket:

The one below is from a different year. I dont have documentation of the year but notice that the lettering and embroidery are not as bold as on the first one. The color variation could be from the camera used.

This third photo is taken from an older 2009-2012 model and you can see that the design of this one is considerably different from the first 2 shown:

If there is one thing that is consistent with all of these badges/logos it's the number of cross stitches along each border. It's always going to be 8 on each of the 4 sides.
If you ever see more or less than 8, you are looking at a fake. Keep in mind that plenty of fakes have this detail correct though.

When it comes to fakes, just like Moncler's standard bell logo, fakes come in all variations, some better than others, and some so bad you can only laugh.

BRAND LABEL:

This label is something that is also inconsistent in design, and sometimes it's not even dependent on the year. Both of the examples below are from 2017 jackets. Notice how the one on the bottom is more bold in the lettering in the word MONCLER?

Gamme Bleu shirts will have a differnt style of internal label that does not have the cross stitching along the border and the lettering is much more clean and precise.

Counting the number of cross stitches along the border of this label you will find that it's 13 along the top/bottom and 9 along the sides.

This will be the case on most internal labels. However, just when you think you have it figured out, there are some labels that are not consistent in this detail. I failed to document the year when I saved these photos. I will have to see if I can narrow it down in the future.

Again, fakes can be anywhwere from close to terrible, and I don't have many examples to show but this one is one of the worst. GAMM1 BLDU? Really?

INTERNAL TAGS:

Let's start with the INDUSTRIES tag because that is one of the few things that is consistent with Moncler's other collections.

Gamme Bleu items don't have model names. Giubbotto and Giubbino are Italian for the word "jacket".

This tag will be consistent with the tag you generally see on everything else Moncler produces, post 2009. The first thing to pay attention to when it comes to this collection is the production code. Gamme Bleu items will always start with an R, either RIND for jackets or RCOM for shirts.

Also, Gamme Blue items, at least all that I have seen, are made exclusively in Italy.

If you have been following details about Moncler jackets closely, you may find something peculiar about the industries tags below:
These are 2013 models (RIND-13) but this tag format was not seen on other Moncler items until 2014. It appears that Gamme Bleu items are the exception to this rule. Only Moncler would know the reason for this.

Although this fake below has the tag information copied correctly, the text and alignment is wrong.

Gamme Bleu down jackets through 2016 have a down tag similar to what is found in pre-2010 signature down jackets:

The tag color is different as well as the font, but the text content on the tag is the same. As of 2017, Gamme Bleu down jackets will have a DIST tag instead of this tag, just like all Moncler down jackets.

The size tag on Gamme Bleu jackets is not located up near the collar. It is found with the rest of the tags, whether they be along the side seam or inside an internal pocket.

When it comes to the authenticity tag, Gamme Bleu follows the same exact guidelines as all other Moncler jackets for Certilogo, QR code and RFID tags.
