Several years ago I purchased a Moncler coat from ebay seller BHFO. While only a few photos were provided, I purchased the jacket based on their reputation and their 100% authenticity guarantee. As soon as I received the jacket I could tell something was not right about it and upon further examination of details such as the logo, cartoon and brand label, it was easy to tell that it was a fake.

Next I went to Moncler's website and keyed in the code from the certilogo tag. It prompted me to contact customer service which is what happens when the code is not legitimate or has been flagged for use on fakes. I sent them several photos containing specific details of the jacket. Moncler replied with an expert statement from their anti-counterfeiting department which can be used to get a refund when a seller is not cooperative.

After contacting BHFO about the issue, they agreed to give me a complete refund so I returned the jacket to them along with a paper copy of the above statement from Moncler. Shortly after they received the package they sent me a message stating that the refund was complete and after reviewing the jacket they determined it to be an authentic Moncler. Apparently BHFO is so stubborn that they believe their opinion trumps that of Moncler. Immediately they relisted the jacket as authentic and sold it to an unsuspecting buyer.

This is why, despite their glowing reputation on ebay, BHFO cannot be trusted as a seller of authentic brand name items.
